Amazon's Prime Day starts June 23, and Alexa can track price drops on your saved items without you lifting a finger.
Amazon Prime subscribers in the US who own an Echo device can enable deal alerts in the Alexa app. Go to More > Settings > Notifications > Amazon Shopping, then toggle on Deal Recommendations. Once active, Alexa monitors items in your Wish List, Shopping Cart, and Saved for Later — surfacing upcoming discounts up to 24 hours before they go live via a yellow light ring on an Echo speaker or a pop-up on an Echo Show. You can also say "Alexa, let me know when [product] goes on sale," then follow up with "Alexa, buy it for me" to have it charge your default payment method and ship to your default address the moment a deal drops.
Prime Day generates more discounts than any shopper can meaningfully track in real time, and this feature offloads the surveillance work to a device many Echo owners already have sitting idle. It still can't tell you whether a given discount is genuine — for that, a price-history tracker remains your best tool.
The "buy it for me" shortcut is the part worth a pause: it assumes Amazon's sale price is the best available, skips any comparison shopping, and moves fast enough that you might not notice you agreed.
