Corsair's new gaming mouse ships with a button that runs Elgato Stream Deck shortcuts, folding two peripherals into one.
The Nightsword v2 Wireless SD is a gaming mouse with a dedicated hotkey wired directly into Elgato's Stream Deck software. That button can trigger macros, switch scenes, control apps, or fire stream commands — the same actions most streamers currently handle on a separate Stream Deck device parked beside the keyboard. Corsair has owned Elgato since 2018, so the integration is less a technical feat than a long-overdue use of an eight-year-old acquisition. The "SD" in the product name is presumably not accidental.
For streamers and content creators who keep one hand on the mouse anyway, routing Stream Deck actions through a thumb button reduces desk clutter without a separate hardware purchase. It also makes Elgato's software ecosystem stickier for anyone already in the Corsair orbit — a modest but real consolidation play that the two brands haven't executed this directly before.
One dedicated button is still one dedicated button. Anyone who relies on a 15-key Stream Deck panel for scene switching, lighting, and sound effects isn't collapsing that workflow into a single click. This reads better as a gateway product than a replacement for the real thing.
